Um milhão de obrigados — aliás, dois!
The Organization for Transformative Works and the Archive of Our Own are proud to announce AO3 has reached 2 million fanworks!
That’s right — a little more than two years after hitting the 1 million fanwork mark, the Archive has doubled in size. The exponential growth of AO3 over the six years since Open Beta is a testament to the passion and creativity of our users, both registered and unregistered, and your enthusiasm inspires the volunteers who manage the Archive and OTW each and every day. Without you, none of us would be here!
Atualização acerca da Direção da OTW
There is a lot of work that needs to be done to keep the OTW running smoothly, and now, following the resignations of the 2015 Directors and our induction as newly-elected Directors, we currently have a Board composed of only two Directors. We need others to join us to manage the workload and tackle the challenges ahead.
Over the past couple of weeks we have considered the possibility of holding another election. However, after reviewing the organization’s by-laws, consulting the Elections team regarding the workload and demands related to the electoral process — both for candidates and for the Elections team, which has just reached the end of a complex season — and considering the likelihood that the only people stepping forward to run in a theoretical election may have just gone through an election in November, we have decided to maintain the regular election schedule.

O Dia Internacional das Obras de Fãs será no dia 15 de fevereiro de 2016. A OTW (Organização para Obras Transformativas) está a fazer preparativos para celebrar este dia, mas gostaríamos também de saber o que tu tencionas fazer! O que é o Dia Internacional das Obras de Fãs? É um dia para promover a criatividade de fãs em todas as suas formas, pelo mundo inteiro. Seja texto, imagem, áudio ou multimédia e independentemente da nação ou língua de origem, usamos as nossas obras como fãs para exprimir amor pelas nossas fandoms e construir as nossas próprias comunidades e tradições. There have been a lot of changes in the OTW in the past few days. The current Board of Directors has resigned, effective December 15. We know there has been some confusion, and we wanted to share with you the situation as it currently stands.
