Time Requirements: 1 to 5 hours per week

Term: 1 year with extensions possible until workgroup dissolves

Role overview:

The Organization Culture Roadmap Workgroup (OCR) is responsible for developing and supporting the implementation of a roadmap of goals to improve the OTW. This roadmap was developed based on feedback from an external audit by an organizational culture consultant. These goals fall into several themes. You can find examples of goals OCR has worked on in past Board minutes, such as September 2024 and July 2025 when the Board provided updates about the status of goals that we were working on.

OCR volunteers assist in all parts of this work and are essential to OCR. Volunteers will complete a variety of tasks related to the roadmap, including but not limited to: drafting plans for how goals will be completed, researching best practices from similar organizations, drafting documentation related to the goals, authoring and reviewing policy drafts, proposing new processes to better support volunteers, and generally working as a team to help carry out roadmap goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the research, development, management, and delivery of internal projects
  • Write and edit OCR project plans, goal documentation, statements, surveys, replies to public questions, policies, minutes, and reports
  • Analyze survey responses relating to proposals and policy documents
  • Check in with committees regarding relevant goals
  • Support committees in planning and completing Roadmap goals
  • Work as part of a team to support specific goals to reach completion. Teams may include members of other OTW committees as well as OCR volunteers.
  • Ensure OCR documentation is kept up to date, suggesting and implementing updates as needed
  • Suggest improvements to team workflows to help make the team’s work more efficient and sustainable

Training requirements:

Volunteers will be trained in all required tools, skills, and tasks as detailed on the Organizational Culture Roadmap Volunteer Training Plan.
