Position Title: Development & Membership Committee Graphic Designer Volunteer

Time requirements: varies; usually about 1-2 hours/week; more during fundraising drive times (March, April, September, October)

Term: 1 Year.

Role Overview: The Development & Membership Committee (DevMem) is the OTW’s primary fundraising body, responsible for the coordination of fund drives, convention outreach, and other activities designed to raise money and grow the OTW’s membership, as well as for the maintenance of donation and membership records.

Our graphic designers are responsible for design graphics needed for drive posts, donation gifts, informative flyers, and other promotional materials.


Key responsibilities:

  • Design graphics to be used in fundraising drive posts and promotional materials
  • Provide editable graphic files for translation

Other Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with chairs volunteers in regard to availability, progress on tasks, and any issues that arise that may impact committee work.
  • Help develop and maintain policies/documentation for the committee in conjunction with other committee members or other organization personnel.
  • Attend meetings and participate in discussions to further projects and activities of the committee.
  • Help brainstorm new fundraising ideas
  • Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive OTW material

Experience:

  • Graphic design/graphic design software experience required.
  • Prior OTW experience not required.
  • Experience with fundraising, marketing, public relations, or data analysis is desirable, but not required.
  • Fundraising experience desired, but not required

Training requirements: Development & Membership Graphic Designer Volunteers will be trained in all required tools, skills and tasks as detailed on the Development & Membership  Training Plan.
