Position Title: Development & Membership Committee Graphic Designer Volunteer

Time requirements: Usually about 1-2 hours/week; though that is variable depending on which projects you choose to take on.

Term: 1 Year.

Role Overview: The Development & Membership Committee (DevMem) is the OTW’s primary fundraising body, responsible for the coordination of fund drives and other activities designed to raise money and grow the OTW’s membership, as well as for the maintenance of donation and membership records. Our graphic designers are responsible for design graphics needed for drive posts, premiums (donation gifts), informative flyers, and other promotional materials.


Key responsibilities:

  • Design graphics to be used for our fundraising drives, premiums, or as part of other promotional materials.
  • Provide editable graphic files for translation.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Attend meetings and participate in discussions to further projects and activities of the committee.
  • Make sure that graphics are provided by given deadlines
  • Help brainstorm new premium and fundraising ideas
  • Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive OTW material
  • Communicate with chairs with regard to availability, progress on tasks, and any issues that arise that may impact committee work

Experience:

  • Graphic design/graphic design software experience required.
  • Experience with marketing, public relations, or data analysis is desirable, but not required.
  • Fundraising experience desired, but not required.
  • Prior OTW experience not required.

Training requirements: Development & Membership Graphic Designer Volunteers will be trained in all required tools, skills and tasks as detailed on the Development & Membership Training Plan.
