Will you be in the Los Angeles area on May 19? Then join the OTW at WhedonCon 2017, the fan convention celebrating the works of Joss Whedon. The con will be held at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills, California
Legal Chair Betsy Rosenblatt and Communications Staffer Claudia Rebaza will be presenting “Celebrating 10 Years of Serving Fans: Meet the OTW” on May 19th at 6pm. We’ll be in panel room C, in the Writing & Fan Projects track.
As our panel blurb said:
“Have you ever visited the AO3? Fanlore? Transformative Works and Cultures? A single fan-created and all-volunteer-run organization is behind all these projects and more, including education and legal advocacy in favor of fans and fanworks around the world! The Organization for Tranformative Works is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2017. Whether you’re completely new to our work or our sites are among your favorites, we guarantee you’ll learn something new during this panel. We cover how these projects began, what resources they offer, how fans can take part and be informed, and the relationship between fanworks and copyright law.”
We hope to see some of you there!
