Who makes up the OTW Board of Directors?

The OTW Board is made up of seven Board Directors. Usually, two or three Directors finish their terms each year, and the same number get elected. Terms last up to three years, although they may be shorter if someone decides to step down earlier and someone else is elected to serve the remainder of the retiring Director’s term. To learn more about how Board Directors are elected, refer to How are Board Directors chosen?

Within the Board, there are also Board Officers. These can be Directors with special responsibilities in addition to their regular Board duties or appointees of the Board who do not serve as Directors. Currently, the Board has four officer roles:

  • Board President: Responsible for making sure the Board itself is functional, efficient, responsive, and making progress towards its own goals
  • Board Vice President: Responsible for backing up the President
  • Board Secretary: Responsible for scheduling Board meetings, keeping minutes up to date, and compiling and reporting all decisions made between meetings
  • Board Treasurer: Responsible for managing the OTW’s finances and serving as a chair of the Finance committee. The Treasurer is appointed by the Board and is not a Director.
