OTW Elections 2016: Are You Ready?

It’s almost election time! The Organization for Transformative Works (OTW), the nonprofit behind the Archive of Our Own, Fanlore, Transformative Works and Cultures and other projects, will hold elections for its Board of Directors on September 23–26, 2016.

In order to vote, you need to be a member of the OTW by August 23, 2016. That means that you have to have made a donation of US$10 or more since September 23, 2015 AND have chosen the “membership” option. If you’re unsure whether this applies to your donation, please contact our Development & Membership team.

If you participate in this Voter Registration Drive, we are offering a special thank-you gift: everyone who donates US$15 or more can receive a three-pack of special OTW election stickers. Don’t miss your chance to vote in this election. Donate today!

Fans around the world have been celebrating the 2016 Olympic Summer Games, held in Rio, Brazil. The opening ceremonies on August 5th were an epic spectacle that left many people wide-eyed and revved up for some top-tier athletics. Some were also quite impressed by Pita Taufatotua, the flag bearer for the Pacific island nation of Tonga.

Since the opening ceremonies, though, the focus has turned to the sporting events and the athletes’ accomplishments. Medals are being won, records are being set, and a sense of pride is being felt world-wide.

Check out the current medal count on the Games’ official site.
